Privacy policy

This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. Last updated October 2026.

Who we are

Bradgate Electrical Services Ltd, 42 Cotes Road, Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire LE12 8JS. We are the data controller for the information described here. To ask about anything on this page, email matt@bradgateelectrical.co.uk or call 07739 644184.

What we collect

  • Your name, phone number, email address and postcode or address, when you fill in a form, call, email or message us.
  • Details about your property and energy use that you choose to share, such as photos of your roof or inverter and copies of electricity bills.
  • If you become a customer: the details needed to design, install, certify and guarantee your system, and your payment records.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a survey and quote.
  • To carry out the work you have asked for, and to look after it afterwards.
  • To meet our legal and scheme obligations, such as certifying the installation and registering it where the rules require.
  • To keep our business records and accounts.

The legal grounds we rely on: replying to your enquiry and doing the work is based on your request and our contract with you. Certifying and registering your system, and keeping tax records, is a legal obligation. Keeping our own business records is our legitimate interest in running the business. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them.

Who we share it with

Only where the job needs it:

  • The electricity network operator, to apply for or notify your connection.
  • Certification and consumer protection schemes we belong to, such as MCS, NICEIC, RECC and IWA, to certify the work and protect your deposit and guarantee.
  • Manufacturers, where needed to register a product warranty or set up monitoring.
  • Our scaffolders and suppliers, limited to what they need to deliver the job.
  • The companies whose systems we run the business on, who process information on our behalf: Apple iCloud (our job files), QuickBooks (quotes and invoices), OpenSolar (system designs and proposals), Easy MCS (certification paperwork), Webflow (this website and its forms) and our email provider. Some of these store information outside the UK, under the safeguards UK data protection law recognises.

How long we keep it

If you enquire but do not go ahead, we delete your details within two years. If you become a customer, we keep your job records for as long as your warranties and guarantees run, and for at least six years, which our certification scheme and tax rules require.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit or stop how we use it, or ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Where we rely on your permission, such as for visit-counting cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. Email or call us and we will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first: we will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days at the latest and reply as soon as we can. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This website

The contact forms are run by Webflow, which hosts this site, and send your details to us by email. A Cloudflare check on the forms keeps out spam robots. With your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It only runs if you choose “that’s fine” on the cookie notice. Choose “no thanks” and the site still works. To change your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser and the notice will appear again. If you message us on WhatsApp, that message is handled by WhatsApp.
