Questions people ask us

How long does a home charger take to fit?

A standard home charger takes about half a day. A long cable run or extra work on your electrics can add to that. We check both at the survey and tell you before we start.

Which charger should I get?

Most homes need a 7 kW charger, which fills most cars overnight. We fit Hypervolt, Andersen, myenergi and Ohme, or a Tesla, SolarEdge or Sigenergy charger to match your solar system. We'll recommend the one that suits your car and your driveway, not the dearest box.

Can I still get a grant?

There's no general grant for homeowners with a driveway any more, but renters and flat owners, landlords and businesses can still claim up to £500 per socket until 31 March 2027. If you might qualify, we tell you, help with the short application and claim it once the charger is in.
