Chimneys, dormers, trees, panels facing three ways. SolarEdge tunes every panel on its own, so shade on one doesn't drag down the rest. We fit SolarEdge solar, batteries and EV chargers across Leicestershire from our base in Charnwood. See how SolarEdge compares with Sigenergy and Tesla.

One period building, two households, each with its own all-black panels and SolarEdge battery: 4.9 kWp on one side and 8.46 kWp on the other, with every panel on its own optimiser.
read the case study →SolarEdge also suits the Victorian terraces in Leicester, where chimneys and neighbours shade part of the roof, and you can see what every panel makes in the app.
solar in Leicester →how the three systems compare →Every panel on its own optimiser, and a battery and charger from the same maker.
Each panel has its own optimiser, so a chimney shadow on one panel only affects that panel.
East, west and south on the same inverter, with each panel working at its best.
The app shows what each panel makes, so a problem shows up straight away, and we can see it too.
The SolarEdge Home Battery and EV charger work with the same inverter and the same app.
Yes. We're SolarEdge Certified Installers, and we monitor our installs through the SolarEdge installer portal, which is where the case study figures come from. We're MCS certified and NICEIC Approved, so the system is properly certified and eligible for export payments.
Not necessarily. SolarEdge builds panel-level optimisation into the system. On our Sigenergy and Tesla installs we fit Tigo optimisers on every panel for the same reason, so either way shade on one panel stays on one panel. Which system suits you comes down to the roof, the battery you want and whether backup matters. We'll say which at the survey.
Yes. A SolarEdge Home Battery can be added to a SolarEdge system later, and more than one can be fitted if your needs grow.
Send us a photo of it and a year of bills, and we'll tell you honestly what it could make.
