A busy metal fabrication workshop with a big, clear industrial roof and machinery running all day. Exactly the kind of building where solar earns its keep.
We filled the roof with 189 kWp of panels on a SolarEdge system, with the network operator's approval in place first.
Switched on in December 2024. In the 12 months to 30 September 2026 the roof made 171.6 MWh. The building used 66% of that on site, and solar covered 38% of all the electricity it used.
Figures from the system's own monitoring, for 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026.
Send us a year of bills and we'll tell you honestly whether solar stacks up.
